Neon Posters ...they move in front of your lucky eyes
From: http://www.shortlist.com/

We've been giving a serious amount of man-love to film posters of late. If you don't believe us then try clicking here or here or, if you're really brave, here.
But, in some bid to try and outdo every other poster-maker in the world, the mysteriously named Mr Whaite has created these awesome neon posters that actually move and everything.
He's developed these gifs which imagine a world where a large amount of money is used to promote films in the seediest part of town. He's promised more to come so stay tuned.

Movie Theater Kicks Customer Out for Texting, Turns Her Angry Voicemail Into PSA (Video)
The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas, now airs her expletive-filled rant before all R-rated movies that it shows.
by Kimberly Nordykefrom http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/
![]() |
You might want to think twice before texting the next time you are at the movies.
A movie theater in Austin, Texas, has gotten its revenge on a customer who insisted on doing that very thing.
In a blog post on the Alamo Drafthouse's website, the theater claims it has a strict no-talking policy that was adopted in 1997.
"Recently, we had a situation where a customer persisted in texting in the theater despite two warnings to stop," the blog post reads. "Our policy at that point is to eject the customer without a refund, which is exactly what went down that night. Luckily, this former patron was so incensed at being kicked out, she quickly called the office and left us the raw ingredients for our latest 'Don't Talk or Text' PSA."
That's right: The customer not only got kicked out of the movie without her money, but her angry, expletive-filled voicemail is now being played as part of a video airing before all the R-rated movies shown at the theater.
Watch the video -- and listen to her rant -- below.

Breaking Down The Infamous Apple Email Style
From: http://www.techi.com/

Apple is good at many things revolving around technology, but many would say that the key to their tremendous success is the way they do their marketing. They have created a brand that exudes pride amongst its users, a subculture that is both coveted and reviled by the different sections of the masses. Just look at how they do their emails – love it or hate it, they work.
This breakdown by our friends at Flowtown puts it all into perspective for us. Every element is done for a purpose. Every detail is precise. There are no questions about how or why they do it. These emails work. In a world where so many fail at email marketing, Apple seems to shine over the competition…
… as they seem to do in many areas.

10 Classic Video Game Commercials
![]() |
Super Mario Bros. 3 joined the UN in '90. |
Our list begins, though, with a little love for Atari and Pac-Man.
10) Ms. Pac-Man
This woman was not only kicking more ghost ass than her hubby, she was also apparently Broadway bound, or something like that. "Don'tcha know? I'm more than Pac-Man with a bow!"
9) Dr. Mario
Now it's stuck in your head - get over it. Yes, Nintendo went a little overboard pushing this Tetris-y game out to the masses, but that's not to say this is ridiculous. Unless you factor in that kid's scat solo.
8) Super Mario Bros. 3
Most of us joined the Mario cult (shown here) when this dropped stateside in 1990. In terms of this commercial, it's interesting because it lacks a gameplay clip, and instead hypes Mario's popularity. Wallets were drained immediately.
7) Legend of Zelda
See? No game clips in this Japanese ad. That's okay, though, because we're watching the awesomest Nintendo rap ever. Seriously, it's 30 seconds away from being a music video.
6) Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Ah, an early sign of viral marketing. Mom grated cheese with this, and my wiener dog had a copy, too.
5) Street Fighter II
4) Mortal Kombat
Creepy. Something about this. Is Creepy. It's the menacing kid and his sense of anarchy. Parents beware (maybe).
3) Game Genie
2) Doom
pretty much only had Doom to count on for sales, hence the reason for
creating this shadowy commercial.
1) SEGA CD

Beyonce Ad Deemed Too Hot For TV
Beyonce's got a lot going on, including a new perfume called, 'Heat.' The ad for it was pulled from British TV prior to 7:30 PM because her scantily clad decolletage was moving in such a way as to offend young eyes.
Check out the ad and tell us what you think, is it too hot to air before 7:30PM?Posted by gjblass at 12:55 PM 1 comments

Some of the Sexiest Got Milk Ads
Published by Natty
From: http://www.uncoached.com/Let’s face it. Milk mustache? Come on people! It’s just another way for the Milk industry to lure celebrities into looking like they’re taking facials. Or at least that’s about the closest we’ll get. Actually no. The use of photoshop has taken care of every pornographic fantasy we’ve ever had about celebrities.
Still though, one must admit that the “Got Milk” campaign does have its allure. It ain’t quite like the PETA ads we see on a daily basis but I’m a fan of calcium so it works for me.
Check out some Got Milk chicks after the jump
Man I used to love Elizabeth Hurley back in the days when she played the devil. I feel like I haven’t seen her in 10 years.

11 best commercials featuring Darth Vader
Although you may not agree with every decision George Lucas has made over the years, nobody can deny the guy has a pretty good idea how to run a successful marketing campaign. Hey, if selling toys hadn't been been part of the picture, we might have even seen a different ending to Return of the Jedi!
Lots of companies have tried to cash in on Lucas' money machine since the first Star Wars came out in 1977 by paying homage to the film and its characters in commercials, including a certain evil Sith lord who you wouldn't think would make the best pitchman. But it turns out he is!
Check out 11 of our favorite commercials featuring Darth Vader, and let us know which ones you think are the most memorable.
Spike
Darth uses the force to help improve his poor golf skills. Makes sense to us!
Energizer
If Vader only had a set of Energizer batteries, the whole Star Wars saga might have ended differently.
Orange
Turns out those Jedi mind tricks don't always work.
Target
Even Lord Vader is excited by the presence of Heidi Klum.
WWF
Darth takes a stand against global warming. (We guess he only want to conquer temperate planets.)
DirecTV (Spanish)
Vader and friends (if you can call them that) celebrate Christmas.
Pepsi
Darth doesn't like theater audiences making noise during the movie any more than the rest of us.
NES
This vintage ad for Nintendo's first Star Wars game shows the only way any of us will ever be able to defeat Lord Vader.
M&Ms
Starring Red, Yellow ... and Darth Vader
TomTom
I don't know about you, but I'd never tell Darth Vader to try breathing more quietly.
Hagoromo tuna
Strange ... somehow we always felt Darth would choose red meat over fish.

Perrier Understands Advertising
From: http://warmingglow.uproxx.com/
Below is the newest commercial for Perrier, in which fetish model/modern burlesque star Dita von Teese takes off her clothes and douses her lingerie-clad body in refreshing bubbly water with a light citrus flavor.
A lot of people on the Internet don’t seem to find Dita attractive, and while everyone’s entitled to speak their minds, some of those people are goddamn liars. I’m not saying she’s the sexiest woman on the planet or anything, but if she showed up in my apartment in lingerie and heels and seductively dumped Perrier all over herself, I wouldn’t be like, “Hey! I just mopped yesterday! Get some paper towels, will you?” I’d probably have some witty line about how sparkling water prevents stains from setting in.

Giant sculpture made out of 3000 balls for the World Cup
From: http://www.thisblogrules.com/
Nike is continue to impress with their advertisement methods. This huge sculpture, which has been named Ballman, is made with almost 3,000 footballs suspended from steel wire ropes giving the illusion that it is floating in the air. It is located inside shopping centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Ballman will stay in place for the whole World Cup tournament , and when dismantled, the plan is that the balls will be given away.
If you are a World Cup fan, then you will probably like these posters made for every team on tournament.
