Don't you just love hearing stories about the people who were almost cast for huge movie and TV roles? You know like Dana Delany was almost Carrie Bradshaw on 'Sex and the City,' and Matthew Broderick was nearly known as 'Family Ties'' Alex P. Keaton instead of Michael J. Fox.
Well, here's one I hadn't heard: There were about 12 other big names in line to play Peter Bishop on 'Fringe,' as Fox tried to "recast Peter" with Joshua Jackson M.I.A.
Don't believe me? Just take a look at this hysterical video they showed today at Comic-Con, featuring a few former 'Lost' stars (and the 'Lost' boss), a puppet-toting Paul Scheer, someone in our favorite 'Community' (nice stache, Pudi) and, of course, J.J. Abrams regular Greg Grunberg.
Also no spoof video about Jackson would be complete without some 'Dawson's Creek' jokes.
But be sure to watch until the very end to see a super 'Fringe' teaser with a very Observer-like Jackson robotically asking for direction. Spooky!
Actor/politician hooks up with comic book genius Stan Lee on new superhero series.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's first big project since leaving office has been revealed, and as rumored it will feature the actor/politician as a larger-than-life superhero.
The 63-year-old announced in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly that he’s teaming up with legendary comic book genius Stan Lee to bring the animated series, “The Governator,” to life.
“When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about ‘The Governator,’ I thought the word was so cool,” he told EW. “The word Governator combined two worlds — the world of politics and the movie world. And the cartoon brings everything together. It combines the governor, the ‘Terminator,’ the bodybuilding world, the ‘True Lies’ world.”
Said Stan: ”Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting centre under his house in Brentwood.”
Along with a teenage team that assists The Governator in fighting various injustices, Schwarzenegger's alter ego will also have a suit that allows him to breathe underwater and turn invisible. Oh yeah — and a fleet of "eco-friendly cars" — which is different from the reality of the former governor's garage.
According to sources, Lee is working overtime to deliver a "Governator" prototype in time for the Comic Con convention in July. The current schedule has the series and a comic book launching by the end of 2012.
Schwarzenegger will officially unveil his plans for "The Governator" during the annual MIPTV international festival in Cannes, France, on April 4.

When the first trailer for Tim Burton's live-action take on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland' premiered at Comic-Con in July, it seemed like Burton had all the pieces in place for another goth-stained, Burtonesque classic: Mia Wasikowska as a 19-year-old Alice, Helena Bonham Carter as the diminutive, treacherous Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the rival White Queen, and Johnny Depp's orange-haired Mad Hatter bouncing manically in between them.
But we only caught glimpses of Burton's Wonderland then, snippets of landscapes, hints at the twists and turns Burton made to the famous fairy tale land. In this full-length trailer, we see Wonderland bloom in full: a place that's as dark and fog-ridden as it is vibrant and mysterious.
In the film, hitting theaters March 5, Wonderland has fallen under the Red Queen's grips, and its up to Alice to save the day, but not without first butting heads with the whole, twisted gang: the toothy Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), Tweedledee and Tweedledum (voiced by Matt Lucas), and the excellent Crispin Glover's Knave of Hearts.
The best moments of this new full-length trailer, however, belong to Bonham Carter's Red Queen, a sublime creation of comic menace. "Off with their heads!" seems almost too natural of a line for her, but a few moments later, as we watch the queen rest her boots on an oinking pig and tell Depp's Hatter "I love a warm pig belly for my aching feet," it's clear that the Wonderland Burton's given us here is one we already know by heart, but is still capable of new surprises.

Burton will be making his first appearance in thirty years at Comic-Con in San Diego this week and is bringing with him footage from “Alice” as well as clips from his upcoming post-apocalyptic animated film, 9, which he produced.
Alice In Wonderland is scheduled to be released March 5, 2010.
