Dude Perfect’s New Upper Deck Shot at Cowboys Stadium

By: Allen Moll
From: http://thehoopdoctors.com/

The man, the myth, the legend known as the self proclaimed “King of the Trick Shot” Dude Perfect has been on our radar at TheHoopDoctors.com for some time now as he continually keeps amazing us with his innate trick shot abilities with a basketball.

Even back when we first showed you his ‘09 Summer Camp Edition two Summers ago, we knew this guy had potential as a legendary trick shot artist.

Over the past few years Dude has been adding to his legacy by nailing many improbable long distance shots like these tosses earlier this year when he sinks shots from a moving plane, through a giant donut, and off of a high story building.

With so many competitors now on the horizon like David Kalb and that guy sank a hole-in-one with a basketball, all eying the crown as the World’s Greatest Trick Shot Artist, Dude is going back to his roots by attempting to one-up the shot that originally went viral and made him an internet star….nailing a shot from the 3rd deck at Texas A&M’s football field.

Of course, if you want to go one better than that, one must go to the NFL’s largest outdoor venue: Cowboys Stadium.

Just hanging around: Chilean illusionists stage amazing levitation to celebrate country's anniversary

By Mail Foreign Service

From: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

A pair of Chilean twins have broken the world levitation record by hovering above the ground for an extraordinary 200 minutes.

Nicolas Luisetti and John Paul Olhaberry staged the event in Chile's capital Santiago to mark the country's 200th anniversary.

The magic twins stunned thousands of passers-by as they floated above the city's streets.

The stunt brought traffic to a standstill as thousands of people tried to work out how the trick was done

Their only visible support was a post which each had one hand placed on.

The feat, which involved the pair levitating seven metres above the ground, was broadcast on a giant screen as traffic was brought to standstill.

The crowd gathered below suggested a number of different explanations for how the twins may have carried out the stunt, including having some sort of iron bar through their clothing and attached to the pole.

Magic: The twins have not said how they managed to carry out the extraordinary stunt for over 8 hours

The twins are already considered the most famous illusionists in the country.

The pair have made numerous television appearances in the past and are set to carry out further high-profile events to mark the country's anniversary.

Their stunts are similar to those carried out by U.S magician David Blane who became famous for his extraordinary levitation trick.

Nation-wide celebrations for Chile's bicentenary are set to take place on September 18.

Evel Knievel's son to recreate double-decker bus stunt

The son of stuntman Evel Knievel plans to complete a double-decker bus jump that nearly ended his father's career.

Robbie Knievel, 47, will try to jump over 16 buses at Wembley, west London, in May - riding a classic Harley Davidson XR-750 machine.

Evel Knievel broke his pelvis during his 1975 bid to jump over 13 buses.

"Although my dad's jump ended with broken bones and a lot of pain, I'm confident he'll be smiling down on this one," Mr Knievel said.

"Daredevils are a dying breed. I'm proud to have been raised by one and to be one myself."

His father attempted the stunt in front of an audience of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium, on 25 May 1975.

But his rear wheel clipped the last bus in the row and he somersaulted onto the ramp with the bike crashing down on top of him.

A concussed Knievel announced his retirement over the stadium's PA system.

Nevertheless he returned five months later, successfully clearing 14 buses in Ohio and setting a new world record.

The senior daredevil, who made 300 jumps before retiring in 1980, died aged 69 in November 2007.

His son gained fame in 1989 when he successfully jumped 150ft (45m) over the fountains at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

He has completed more than 350 professional jumps, including 20 world records.

Mr Knievel said he was "looking forward" to making the attempt to clear the jump that thwarted his father.

"I can never fill the shoes of my father because he was the greatest stunt guy in the world - the greatest daredevil," he said.

"Whether I make or miss it, at least I gave it a shot."
