Back in June, I wrote about a new show for the UK’s Channel Four starring Will Arnett, David Cross, and Spike Jonze called “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.” It sounded awesome.
Here’s the first clip. It is awesome. You really can’t go wrong with Will Arnett swearing at people and David Cross lying like an awkward little weasel. HBO needs to buy the American rights to this with a quickness. I want more of this immediately. Like yesterday immediately.

The first trailer for Spike Jonze’s film Where The Wild Things Are debuted online this morning on the Ellen show and has since popped up online. And we’re more than happy to bring it to you, thanks to the 13 reader emails that I’ve received since it went live. Needless to say, it appears as if many of you are excited about this film — and so am I. The adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s book has always felt right in the hands of Spike Jonze. And even though we’ve heard rumors about studio meddling and reshoots and so and so forth, I have a feeling that it will still make for one of the more memorable film experiences of 2009. At least for those of us who grew up with the book.
So without further ado, here’s the first trailer for Spike Jonze’s Where the Wild Things Are:
Put simply, it looks like a lot of fun. Very upbeat, very whimsical — my kind of movie.
Adapted by Jonze and David Eggers, Where The Wild Things Are will feature the voice work of James Gandolfini, Forest Whitaker, Paul Dano, Catherine O’Hara and Lauren Ambrose. It will also feature Max Records and Catherine Keener as Max and his mom. It hits theaters on October 16, 2009. Check out the trailer in high definition over at Apple.com.
