DIY Zipper-Case Earbuds Are the Ultimate Tangle-Free Headphone Solution

At this point, we've all found our favorite headphone-wrapping method, and even if yours works, I can promise you it's not as clever or inventive as DIYer Papydom's earbud zipper case.

Papydom details how he combined a long zipper (in his case, from a clothing cover, but nearly any long enough zipper should do), head earbuds, and a little bit of sewing know-how to create this extremely clever earbud zipper case. The video above says it all. Head over to DIY site Instructables for the full walkthrough. And someone get this brilliant man a job doing this always.

HoodieBuddie is a hoodie with earbuds instead of strings

by Devin Coldewey
from: http://www.crunchgear.com/

Well, it’s not going to win the Nobel Prize, but this little invention is one of those few that makes you think “wait, how come I didn’t think of that?” I mean, who uses those little strings anyway? Lots of people just take ‘em out. They’re vestigial, is what they are. Why not let the hoodie evolve? And a few whiteboard sketches later, there’s the HoodieBuddie. Get it, because of the earbuds?

In the front right pocket, you’ve got your 3.5mm jack, which runs inside the hoodie up to the little earbud-things. Brilliant!

The good news: it’s machine-washable, so no need to worry about taking the tech out if you spill coffee on yourself.

The bad news: people will think you are insane, because you have your hoodie strings plugged into your ears.

The other good news: they’re only going to cost $44 — just slightly more than your average hoodie. They’ll be available starting July 1st at HoodieBuddie.com.

Waterproof Conductive Earbuds Vibrate Your Skull

Thanko's new EMP-708LITE Vonia earbuds work by actually vibrating the bones of your skull, which is then picked up by your brain and processed as recognizable music. They are, quite literally, skull-rattling 'buds.

What's remarkable (and remarkably Thanko-like) about these is the price: Similarly designed headphones, often not waterproof at all, run for well over $100, while these are only 4280 Yen (about $45). They're waterproof down to 5 meters, which makes them great for workout swimmers (or snorkelers, I guess). Unfortunately, they're Japan-only for now, so we'll have to keep making due with significantly less cool waterproof 'buds. [Thanko via New Launches]
