A new world record was set at the Chambley-Bussieres Aerodrome in Eastern France when 343 hot air balloons took off, during the Lorraine Mondial international hot air balloon festival. The balloons ascended from the former NATO air base, and broke the previous record of 329 balloons, set at the same festival in 2009.
