Mini Launches Roadside Assistance App for iPhone, BlackBerry

by Rory Jurnecka

Flat tire on your new Mini Cooper? As the Apple commercials say, "There's an app for that." Mini USA has just launched a new roadside assistance application for iPhone and BlackBerry smart phones that not only allow owners to pinpoint their exact location to service headquarters through their phone's GPS tracking system, but also offers a menu system to pinpoint the exact issue their Mini has.

Once the application is launched, the Mini owner punches in their personal information and the vehicle's VIN, followed by the general problem, including running out of fuel, getting a flat tire, or locking keys in the car. The information is then forwarded to the nearest service center to the location of the vehicle and Mini informs the owner of when he can expect help to arrive.

"Mini owners appreciate technological innovation and will welcome the additional peace of mind that comes from having fast, easy access to the free roadside services provided during their warranty period."

Dubbed Mini Road Assist, the application is free to download at: www.allstateroadsideservices.com.
