Nissan GT-R takes on the Ring in the Snow
NURBURG, Germany — Although the Nürburgring is familiar territory for the Nissan GT-R (it achieved a lap time of seven minutes, 29 seconds last spring), this is the first video to surface showing the Japanese supercar making a run with snow under its tires.
Nissan says it encourages testing the GT-R in all kinds of environments: "The Nissan GT-R offers ultimate performance for virtually every driving situation — whether it be the Nürburgring circuit, snow, rain or urban areas — all manageable by the GT-R driver through advanced technology and driving dynamics."
With a set of Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires and a fearless driver, the GT-R relentlessly drifts around each snow-covered corner of the German circuit. The vehicle is also equipped with a pair of Lamborghini-style doors and sporty decals.
Inside Line says: Although it isn't a record-breaking run, the controlled drifts around the 'Ring in the snow are definitely impressive.
