27 Stolen Super Bowl Rings Found In Saugus

Stolen Items Found In Bedroom, Car, Safe Deposit Box

Police said they have found 27 New York Giants Super Bowl rings -- valued at $172,000 -- allegedly stolen last June from a Massachusetts jewelry company.

Investigators said they found the rings Tuesday in a bank safe deposit box in Saugus.

Authorities said the rings are the original rings that were slated to be sent to New York Giants team members last year, including quarterback Eli Manning.

Kristen Sullivan, 22, of Lynn, was one of three people arrested Friday in the $2 million robbery of the E.A. Dion Inc. jewelry store in Attleboro last June 8.

State police spokesman David Procopio said Sullivan rented the safe deposit box. She was held on a charge of receiving stolen property worth more than $250.

Sullivan pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Tuesday and will face a pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 27.

According to court documents, police found one of the stolen Super Bowl rings in the bedroom of another person arrested and charged in the case, Sean Murphy, 44, of Lynn.

They said the ring was discovered in Murphy's bedroom, and jewelry was found in his car. Rare coins were located in a bank safe deposit box.

Authorities also found an unfinished New York Giants Super Bowl ring, according to Essex Assistant District Attorney Susan Dolhun.

On Monday, Murphy pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property and was ordered held on $250,000 bail.

The judge ordered Murphy held on $250,000 bail, and continued the case until Wednesday for a pretrial hearing.

The judge also revoked Murphy's bail on a pending case, where he faces domestic assault and battery, and marijuana charges.

Murphy's ex-girlfriend, Rikkile Brown, 21, of Peabody, also pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Monday on a charge of receiving stolen property over $250.
