2010 Ford Taurus SHO Spied
Looks like it’s SHO-time again at Ford.
Ford’s big Taurus sedan has been in a sales ditch in comparison to the huge numbers it used to pull, but a major refresh is expected to bring some much-needed polish to the tarnished nameplate. Nothing adds polish, though, like a hopped-up performance variant, and Taurus history includes three storied letters that could start buffing the car’s rep later this year: SHO, for Super High Output.
Big dual exhausts, huge wheels, and fat, low-profile tires are the tip-off that the car in these pictures ain’t no ordinary Taurus, even though Ford hasn’t yet revealed what the ordinary Taurus will look like. Expect sporty accents to add flavor to the SHO’s interior and exterior. We anticipate that the SHO will use the same 340–350-hp, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 that will power the Lincoln MKS, likely paired with all-wheel drive.
Stay tuned for more details.
