Additional Aston Martin One-77 Details Leaked

GAYDON, England — Aston Martin has given scant information on its upcoming One-77 supercar, due to be unveiled at the 2008 Paris Auto Show this week. However, the international news media have come out with more details, led by a Dutch Web site that published pricing and technical data this week — and what purports to be an actual Aston Martin sales contract form for the car.

The site 925.nl says the Aston Martin One-77 will be released in a limited run of — what else? — 77 units and will cost the equivalent of $1.86 million. It will be a lightweight two-seat coupe built on a hand-crafted aluminum frame with a carbon fiber body, a detail Aston Martin has already announced.

Engine-wise, the One-77 will get a 7.0-liter 12-cylinder engine, normally aspirated and making about 710 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automated manual transmission.

Other juicy details: The car will have a height-adjustable suspension, dynamic stability control and a carbon-ceramic brake system.

Late 2009 is the expected release date for the new Aston, the site says.

Aston Martin has a dedicated Web site for the One-77.

What this means to you: The Dutch shake loose some stirring details about a supercar that sounds worth the wait
