Chismillionaire's weekend Recap and DEAL of the YEAR
Well here we are, back from a great holiday weekend. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves.
Some highlights for me
Sat
Newport Winter Fest- Always a treat, as the weather is usually 5-7 degrees warmer than inland. Ice sculpture contest a must see. The Pheonix(spectacular detail) was Chismillionaire's favorite. Events continue through Sunday 2/24- click link above for info.
Purchased Mrs. Chismillionaire a pink Blackberry Pearl. She is happy happy. Current phone wallpaper is little chismillionaire sitting in a Target carriage. Irony? Methinks not.
Stogie of the Day- Camacho 1962 Robusto. Super Med bodied smoke with great flavor. Highly reccommended for those working their way up to stronger smokes. Rating 92.
Sun
Left the house around 11am- wife was having a wedding shower for a friend. Dropped the first lady off and headed to the Mall with little Chismillionaire where he proceeded to endear everyone with his waving technique. Politics may be a possibility.
Arrived back at shower were I was invited in. I have to say as a quasi fly on the wall a house full of men is a lot more fun than a house full of women. Just an observation. Maybe it's just old women?? More investigation needed in this regard.
KNIGHT RIDER
Finally, on the way home, Chismillionaire's brother and another friend were on their way for dinner and Knight Rider movie!! I had been pumped for this for a month. Sushi from Whole Foods is quite good I'll say
All of the bad acting and cheese notwithstanding, Chismillionaire would watch if it became a series. Val Kilmer voicing KITT, great special effects and some of the same Cali scenery and backdrops as well as suspense inducing commercial cuts. Good stuff, but the human characters could use some polishing.
Mon
A day not to be wasted as the temp was pushing 60 degrees. Anytime you get 60 degrees in February you must take advantage. Windows rolled down all day, no coats.
Off to Natick Collection so Mrs. Chismillionaire could see Apple Macbook Air and look for a Kitchen table and chairs. Nothing great there. For lunch, PF Changs was an hour wait so that was out. Balocco for burritos instead.
Chismillionaire recommends the summer burrito(ahh mango) with steak and a bit of Tabasco to get your nose running.
Side note: Still don't get the MacBook Air?? No optical Drive, no Ethernet jack, weird power plug. Lots of comprises from Chismillionaire's perspective.
The Mac book for 1099 or the 20" Imac with 100 student discounts( just pay some punk 20 to buy one for you) are still the best deals going.
Afternoon drive to the Maserati dealer to check out the Quattroporte. Grabbed the brochure and was wondering about the difference between the DuoSelect manual clutchless shift and the new ZF full automatic as the DuoSelect is no longer offered as off 2008. So the salesperson lets me know about their presidents day deals and to swing back anytime when little chismillionaire was not napping for a look
Chismillionaire stumbles upon DEAL Of the YEAR- Any 2007 Maserati- $20,000 right off the top. I know there are all kinds of sales going on, but I challenge anyone to show me a brand new vehicle where they are discounting 20% of MSRP!!!!!!!!
Got an 11am appt on Saturday 2/23 for a drive.
Afternoon to Target where we pick up little Chismillionaire's play kitchen. Mrs Chismillionaire resolutely puts the thing together right away. Kudos to the first lady for her assembly skills.
Stogie of the day: Alec Bradley MAXX. Gigantic 9 by 47 ring. Slow burn for my liking and had some uneven burn issues. Rating 84.
