Chismillionaire has concluded Best Buy service is SHIT

Best Buy service sucks- This is the third time I have had indifferent shitty in-store service when I actually want to buy something pretty big ticket on the spot!!

I just had to to let people know- Last night I bought a laptop from Best Buy for 699. The deal was just too ridiculous to let go.

The first place I went was Circuit City. I was greeted promptly by someone who said, "let me know if you need anything". I have found this to be the case in every Circuit City I go to. They just didn't have any deals that blew back what's left of my hair. I also wish they would dispense with the whole silly rebate business. I am not interested in spending 900 for a laptop they have priced at 550 after rebates. Just price it at 599 or something and be done with it. Anyway on the the Best Buy debacle.

• The first Best Buy store we went to in North Attleboro, I found the deal of all deals and waited 15 minutes in the computer area while the ONE person in computers was on the phone while ten people looked on in amazement. While there, people were asking other Best Buy staff for help and they just pointed them back to the computer area. I finally went to customer service with the tag and told the guy I had been waiting 15 minutes and I actually wanted to buy something and not just get questions answered. So the guy walks around and gives the tag to the guy on the phone then says we are out of those, we only had six in stock yesterday and they all sold. So my wife asks him if he can check inventory in any other stores. He said he already did and all the stores in the region were zeros.

• So we left and started home since it was getting to my son's bedtime. We figured we would stop by the Milford store maybe and see if they had it since it was on the way( they are smaller and a bit hidden away). My wife in her wisdom, thought it would be best to call. So we called, and after about 2o rings someone picks up and after looking the guy says yes come on in, we have three of them. We get there and go back to the laptops where again nobody is there to help you and you must seek out a salesperson. By now, my son is getting cranky and thinks dumping spools of CD's is a good time.

• By the time we find the guy, he says ahh nope we just ran out of those. We ask if he is sure since we called and were told there were three in stock and he says let me check. While waiting, of course my wife finds one in the rack below a bunch of other laptops. The guy comes back from somewhere and says- nope all gone. So my wife points down and says I found one, right there! Sure enough it was. So basically one must go to Best Buy and search through their inventory to be sure they are not full of shit. In actuality, the only thing that we needed anyone at Best Buy for was the key to unlock the rack and to ring up the sale. I keep saying never again, but they dispense with rebates and the products are quite good.
  

You have been warned- if you can get it without the staff involvment great, otherwise you'd be better off punching yourself in the face.
