LOS ANGELES — Jay Leno recently picked up the all-powerful 2009 Corvette ZR1, and, after a quick drive through the streets of L.A., reports he couldn't be happier with its performance.
In a video made public this week, Jay first does a quick walk-around of the vehicle, mentioning a few of the unique features of the most powerful Corvette ever made. Leno comments that the clear-coat paint costs $60,000 a gallon and calls the 638-horsepower Eaton supercharged LS9 the "performance bargain of the decade."
Leno also brings up the Vette's 7:26 Nürburgring run, and the fact that the ZR1's stopping power comes from the same brakes used in the Ferrari Enzo.
Performance-wise, the ZR1 sprints to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph.
