The 30 Nerdiest Cookie Jars You Can Find

by Justin Thomas
from: http://egotvonline.com/

If there’s one thing nerds love, it’s Star Wars. If there’s another thing they love almost as much, it’s cookies, so it makes perfect sense that the cookie jar industry would be wrought with nerdy cookie jars. Pick your nerd poison: whether it’s Star Wars, Doctor Who, vintage cartoons, aliens, or just bizarre pop culture-inspired nerdiness, there’s a cookie jar version of it. Sit back, relax, and let your inner nerd run wild with this collection of nerdy cookie jars.

Showtime Teams With Steven Spielberg And Stephen King For ‘Under The Dome’ Series

By NELLIE ANDREEVA

In one of Showtime’s most ambitious undertakings, the pay cable network is partnering with Steven Spielberg and Stephen King for Under the Dome, a drama series based on King’s 2009 novel, which will be produced by DreamWorks Television. The supernatural thriller revolves around locals at a Maine vacation spot who battle one another when a force field suddenly surrounds their town and cuts them off from the rest of the world. DreamWorks’ Spielberg and Stacey Snider nabbed the rights to King’s novel shortly after it was published in November 2009 to strong reviews. Search is underway for a writer to write the project, whose executive producers will include King and DreamWorks TV’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Spielberg has a longstanding relationship with King.

He previously teamed with the bestselling author to adapt his 1984 novel The Talisman, which was originally developed as feature and then as a miniseries that was once set up at TNT.

This marks a return to genre series for Showtime, which took a break following the 2003 dramedy Dead Like Me, and the network’s latest collaboration with DreamWorks TV. The production company’s dark comedy United States of Tara ran on the pay cable network for 3 seasons and its costume drama The Borgias is now in production on Season 2. Elsewhere, DreamWorks’ new TNT series Falling Skies was recently renewed for a second season. The WME-repped company has 3 new broadcast series launching this coming season: NBC’s Smash, which was originally developed at Showtime, Fox’s Terra Nova and ABC’s The River.

Nude York City: Bodypainted model hauled to jail after Times Square spectacle (SNSFW)

By Thomas Durante
From: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

Police were called to New York's Times Square yesterday after an art exhibit turned a model into an exhibitionist.

Handcuffs were the only thing Zoe West, of Kingston, New York, was wearing when she was taken into custody on Tuesday evening.

The 21-year-old beauty was splashed with paint for famed local bodypainter Andy Golub in a stunt that drew onlookers ranging from tourists to office workers.

But not everyone enjoyed the spectacle.

At about 5 p.m., several NYPD officers showed up and took the woman into custody, binding her with handcuffs and hauling her off in a police van.

Miss West said there was nothing against the law about her modelling.

She told the New York Post: 'I don't believe there is truly anything wrong with what I did and with what he was doing.'

Miss West, whose ModelMayhem.com profile promises she would do 'NO EROTIC NUDE WORK EVER,' said the charges were later dropped.

Mr Golub is no stranger to gawkers in Times Square either, as he’s been there to perform his art several times over the last few years.

He was charged with public lewdness in a similar stunt last month with two other models.

The 45-year-old told the Post that Miss West was aware of the risks and posed for him anyway.
He said: 'I explained all this to my model, so she was completely aware.'

Guy Jet Skis Through Streets of New York During Hurricane Irene

While Hurricane Irene was a bit more flaccid than all the hype surrounding it, I am pretty sure this was not on any hurricane preparedness checklist. But maybe it should be?

Mr516Rockstar from YouTube is zooming down Lawson Street in Oceanside, New York. You can see him zip past a 7-11 and a Dunkin’ Donuts. He wasn’t the only one taking to the streets in such a manner. Reuters reported that Lido Beach even had a few kayakers. Canoes were also a popular choice.
